Kolukkumalai is a high-altitude tea estate above Munnar, reached only by 4×4 jeep over a rough mountain track from Suryanelli. We pick you up from your Munnar hotel before dawn, transfer you to a local jeep, and climb to the viewpoint in time for sunrise. On a clear morning you watch the sun rise above a sea of clouds, with the Western Ghats stretching into Tamil Nadu. After sunrise there is time for a short tea garden walk and photos before the jeep brings you back down and we drive you to your hotel.
